Spacey Jane
Spacey Jane

Pardon the pun, but it’s fair to say that Spacey Jane’s recent rise has been of the  meteoric variety.

For relatively new kids on the block, the four piece from Fremantle have had a very  impactful start, clocking up over 40 million streams and garnering huge support  from industry and fans alike.

In 2019, Spacey Jane nabbed a J Award Unearthed Artist of the Year nomination  and undertook three completely sold out tours of Australia, with the most recent run taking in New Zealand.

Over the last 18 months, festivals have been pounding on their door too, with  Spacies taking to the stage at Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass, Yours and Owls,  BIGSOUND and Wave Rock Weekender.

They started 2020 with a bang - January saw “Good For You” voted #80 in triple j’s  highly coveted Hottest 100 countdown. February saw them join the likes of The  1975 and Charlie XCX on the Laneway Festival national tour.

Their “Skin” single tour was cut short due to the pandemic, but that didn’t stop the  band releasing their debut full length album Sunlight in June, which reached #2 on  the ARIA album charts.

As restrictions eased in WA, the band packed the touring van for the Back on the  Road regional tour and Wave Rock Weekender, as one of the headline artists.

In November, Sunlight received a nominated for a J Award for Album of the Year for  Sunlight, a mean feat to jump from an Unearthed nomination to this accolade within  the course of a year!

Onwards and upwards for Spacey Jane.

Sophiegrophy
Sophiegrophy

After landing an artist feature in ID Magazine with the release of her debut mixtape (“PURPULARITY”, 2017), things have been rapidly progressing for Sophiegrophy - the Australian based, Nigerian born and New Zealand raised artist currently making massive strides in the world of New Wave Hip Hop & underground Club Culture. Ranked highly among the class of leading artists to emerge from Australia’s seminal WVS Hip Hop imprint (Lil Spacely, Anfa Rose).

Sophiegrophy leveled up with appearances on Spotify’s 'Starting Point' series via Acclaim and Complex AU, NIKE’s A1 promotion, as well as holding solid positions in all the biggest national Hip Hop & Viral Chart playlists over a multitude of her own genre defining trap anthems (“Bag”, “Fa$t Life”) including appearances on Ebro’s One to Watch (“Shake”) and New Australia Show on Apple Music, or features on a set of future-forward international club tracks (Walker & Royce “All For The Gram”, J. Worra & Codes “Bounce Back”, Taiki Nulight “Trip”).

On the live front, Sophiegrophy demanded audience attention on a host of performances including Australia’s inaugural Rolling Loud Festival, national The Grass is Greener and Festival X tours, as well as a headline set at debut Spotify A1 Live showcase as well as left of centre events including Brunswick Music Festival and Tasmania’s Faux Mo. With a unique and charming aura, hard-working attitude and swag as fierce as they come, riding alongside her innate gift for genre-bending bars (as heard in appearances on Triple J Bars of Steel, and YO! MTV Raps), Sophiegrophy has made as much a mark delivering hard-hitting cut-throat 16’s as melodic pop-inspired hooks.

It’s her drive to experiment and push new ground that led her to collaborate with the next level studio creatives including Aus Hip Hop buzz-artist Kwame, Lewis Can Cut (NLV Records), Eric Boavida and frequent studio partner producer Jia Lih (Troye Sivan, Meg Mac). Keep your eyes and ears peeled for Sophiegrophy as she promises to make an indelible mark on the international Hip Hop & Club world.

Golden Features
Golden Features

More than half a decade into his career, Australian producer Golden Features has well-and-truly  established himself as one of the country’s premier electronic acts amassing over 120 million  global streams, one platinum and four gold records to his name. Over the years Tom Stell’s  musical evolution has seen the producer push boundaries in aesthetic and sound revealing  more of himself to fans and slowly unmasking himself in the process.

Stell instantly became a festival and airwave staple with his debut EP, driven by the success of  the Nicole Millar-featuring ‘Tell Me’. Never one to rely on a formula, he developed his sound  further on the following EP XXIV which housed two of his biggest songs ‘Telescope’ with K. Flay  and ‘No One’ with Thelma Plum. That was only to be topped by standalone drop ‘Wolfie’  featuring Julia Stone, a track that has since had over 20 million streams.

Stell had already become a firm favourite in his home country, selling out his 2015 national tour,  but the rest of the world was catching. He drew praise from the likes of electronic music  heavyweights like Porter Robinson before taking his shows to the US. He played large-scale  electronic music festivals including HARD Summer and Holy Ship.

As always, Stell is already looking ahead to his next creative turn. He has been reinvigorated  once again by time immersing himself in the Berlin techno scene. There’s a clear direction for  what he wants to do yet, not that anybody will be able to guess it.

“You lose scope of your work the more you work on it,” Stell says. “I’m all about getting the  ideas down quick...getting the heart of the song in it and then going in to refine the song until it  shines.”

Stell’s next move is a mystery until it’s unveiled but there’s one thing we know for sure. He’s  always looking for a detour into the next unexplored space of electronic music.

Lime Cordiale
Lime Cordiale

Lime Cordiale’s infectious performances and genuine interactions with their fans has made them one of Australia’s buzziest bands. It’s a fact that was reflected in July when they scored their first #1 album on the ARIA Charts with 14 Steps to a Better You. Earlier this year, Lime Cordiale was the only act to have four songs under 40 in triple j's hottest 100 of 2019 -- a feat that not even Billie Eilish could pull off. It’s been an incredible 2020 so far for the Sydney duo, but the brothers would be quick to tell you that it’s been a long way to the top. Back in 2009, when they started Lime Cordiale, “we didn't really know what we were doing,” Oli explains. Rowdy, drunk crowds at house parties and in pubs and RSLs across Sydney’s northern beaches helped shape the band’s upbeat, quirky sound, forcing them to play louder and groovier to command the audience’s attention. Eleven years, three EPs and one album later, the boys have over 117K followers on Instagram and are playing to wildly enthusiastic crowds across Australia and overseas.

Lastlings
Lastlings

Josh and Amy Dowdle are Lastlings, the Gold Coast sibling duo who have taken their place as new leaders in the sweet spot between live and electronic. Amy contributes her double-edged sword of intricate, wistful lyrics with her own ethereal vocals at center stage while Josh complements with perfect electronic-driven synergy, injecting sweeping synth work and robust bass lines to weave together dynamic and emotional dancefloor moments.

The duo harbor a powerful, slow-burning energy and a deep dedication to their craft that has set them far and apart across today’s musical landscape. These Lastlings traits were likely inherited from their Japanese roots, impressed upon them throughout the trips they spent balancing the duality of the high-energy, electrified city of Tokyo and the tranquility of Aomori, a small fishing village on the northern side of the main island and their grandparents’ hometown. “Every time we’d visit the city, there would be something new that we hadn’t yet experienced -- like we were venturing into the unknown,” they share. “But upon returning to the smaller towns, there is such beauty in the simplicity and tradition of Japan that deeply grounds us. This balance between simplicity and complexity had great influence on us, and the concept of the album.”

Lastlings are ready to debut their first album, the aptly-titled First Contact. Partially written in a remote stillness of a snow-capped house in that Japanese village and fine-tuned and finished all across Australia, the record aims to capture emotions that feel familiar, while transporting listeners to a universe far away -- one that feels closer to fiction than reality.

The pair are entering into their new chapter with grand support. Championed by fellow Australian superstars RÜFÜS DU SOL, Lastlings have also been warmly welcomed to the band’s own label, Rose Avenue and toured alongside the band at iconic venues like Colorado’s Red Rocks and the Los Angeles State Historic Park. They are recognized and lauded by industry-defining platforms like Billboard, NME and Mixmag and featured within the pages of cultural paragons like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Paper, Flaunt, and W Magazine

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

The Veronicas

The Veronicas hail from Australia, yet their impact has been felt around the globe.

Jessica and Lisa Origliasso, twin girls born on Christmas Day, were teenagers when they moved to LA, signed a record deal with Sire Records and released their first album, The Secret Life Of…. and three top ten singles including the timeless anthem 4Ever.

A second album followed. Hook Me Up the lead single shot straight to Number One and was quickly followed by the iconic worldwide hit Untouched (which became the first Australian single to sell more than a million copies digitally in the USA).

In 2014 after signing to Sony Music, the girls again reached the Number One spot in their home country with You Ruin Me and it was also a hit around the world including Top 5 in the UK.

Just two years later in 2016, The Veronicas were again at the top of the charts with In My Blood another Number One single.

In 2019, The Veronicas remain at the forefront of pop music with their latest single Think Of Me. In the streaming age, the song has already amassed millions of streams and critical acclaim, it was the Most Added Song to Australian radio the week of release and was certified GOLD soon after.

This year they’ve shown their versatility and staying power again with appearances at Field Day and Bluesfest and a newly signed global deal with MTV: with their own TV series airing around the world in late 2019 in more than 180 countries.

In June they featured on triple j’s Like A Version with their musical collaborator and friend Allday covering Joni Mitchell’s Big Yellow Taxi and the performance had more than a million views in Australia that week.

With Ten top 10 hits, 3 x Number Ones, 500 million+ streams, ARIA Awards and more than 175 million Youtube/VEVO streams and 3.5 million social connections The Veronicas are unstoppable.

Choomba

There's always something fresh in the waters of Australian dance music and eyes from all over the globe look here for exciting young talent and fresh trends. Right on cue for 2019 Choomba came out of the gate with a debut EP that hit  #4 on the overall Beatport Release Chart, #2 on the hyper competitive Tech-House Chart, came in at #36 on Australia’s overall Shazam Chart  and saw them up for the Triple J Unearthed feature artist spotlight. A solid showing for a self released debut EP. The follow up single Wantchu took that momentum even further being spot added to Triple J and pushing the act into a whirlwind festival run.

Off the back of these releases - Choomba was booked for Spilt Milk & Grass Is Greener Festivals….. on the 2nd and 3rd stages, early in the day  and every time the stages  flooded to capacity within seconds and the energy was electric. This early win really stamped Choomba as a name people need to know, an act surrounded by so much promise and excitement in just their first 10 months of existing.

“It’s been a crazy whirlwind since we put out the EP and it went off and got all this love we never anticipated. All of a sudden we’re playing these crazy shows around Australia,  getting hit up by labels and festival owners and then random stuff like Diplo calling us up to go work at his house in LA. Right now we’re most excited to be back writing records and planning out our touring for 2020”

Triple One

Triple One are an amalgamation of sounds, beers and all-nighters, impossible to categorise and even harder to ignore. Brash bars come courtesy of rappers Marty Bugatti and Obi Ill Terrors, melodic hooks by Lil Dijon float in paranormal fashion, while greyscale production is expertly crafted by Billy Gunns. Triple One are a sonic experiment between hard, soft and all the textures in between.

Triple One’s early cult single’s ‘Doozy’ and ‘Overflow’ scored millions of views and streams, earning applause from a swelling army of fans in North America and Eastern Europe. Having accumulated serious underground buzz for years, 2018 was the year that Triple One broke into Australian mainstream consciousness. Their singles ‘Showoff’, ‘Tarlo’ and ‘Valentine Kid’ were added to high rotation on triple j and they were also profiled by Complex, GQ and Highsnobiety. Similarly, their 2019 single ‘Butter’ also dominated radio airwaves, leading to the group’s debut UK/European tour and five sold-out shows across Australia.

And onstage is where Triple One truly state their case. Having earned a notorious live reputation through relentless gigging in Sydney, their shows are a vortex of flailing limbs and sweat-drenched circle pits. Triple One’s sprawling performances have led to sold-out headline gigs around the country, support slots for Smokepurpp and Lil Xan, as well as landmark festivals like Falls Festival, Listen Out and The Great Escape.

Less than a year into the Godlands project, the producer has torn up the scene and carved a name for herself in the ever-changing electronic landscape. Having launched her debut tour ‘Pleasures’ for 2018, Godlands has performed alongside the likes of Jauz, Getter, Habstrakt, Excision and QUIX – not to mention previous runs with ShockOne and Baauer.

Their sophomore album 'Story's Start or End' was released in 2019, featuring Gold certified single ‘Starlight’ and triple j favourites 'Resolution' and 'Runaway'. First formed in 2012, SAFIA shot to public attention after winning the triple j Unearthed  Groovin The Moo competition, and gained international attention with breakout single  ‘Listen to Soul, Listen to Blues’. The band followed it up with ‘Counting Sheep’, which has  since amassed a cult following – most recently in China where it has amassed over 300  million streams. Their debut album ‘Internal’ shot to #2 on the ARIA chart in 2016 and  includes Gold singles ‘Make Them Wheels Roll’ and ‘Embracing Me’.

They’re regular festival favourites, having performed at Splendour In The  Grass, Groovin the Moo, Primavera (Spain), Concrete & Grass (China) and SXSW (US) among

others. In support of their recent record, they sold out theatres around Australia and took  their impressive new live show to the main stages of For The Love, NYE In The Park and  Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Triple One

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
